We’re really excited to announce that the Goodpush Alliance has just launched a short survey in collaboration with Drop In e.V. and SEHstern e.V. about how to make skateparks more accessible for everyone.
The survey will help to get a better understanding of what barriers exist that can make skateparks hard to get to or use.
We think it’s important to hear from people with disabilities directly. Parents/guardians can also fill out the survey or help those who are unable to do so.
Your answers will help the skateboarding community adapt the way it builds skateparks. This will help to make skateparks more inclusive and fun.
(Note: The survey is also available in German/Deutsch here)
ABOUT:
The Goodpush Alliance is a program by Skateistan to support social skateboarding projects worldwide and help them share their knowledge with each other. One of the main goals of Goodpush is to help more girls and children with disabilities take part in skateboarding.
Drop In e.V is a non-profit organisation from Berlin. They do many different programs and have a project with WCMX (Wheelchair Motocross). Drop In e.V. uses Skateboarding (and other activities) to get in contact with young people and then support them, for example with learning german or finding a job. You can find out more about their work here!
SEHstern e.V. is also a non profit organisation from Berlin. The staff supports people with disabilities in their daily life. They also help parents and families in different life situations and have several KITAs (pre-schools). SEHstern e.V. is doing “BoB - Berlin on Board”, an inclusive skateboarding program for everyone.
