Community Needs Assessments focus on:

• Establishing what (if any) needs exist in a given community for your planned project/programs
• Gaining community acceptance and input for your project/programs

These assessments can be performed internally (within the organization) and usually take several weeks. Use this guideline to help you make an effective assessment.
