A couple projects that come to mind are the Harold Hunter Foundation and I think Skate Like a Girl now has some activities happening in NYC.
We'd love to do some kind of Goodpush event in North America soon, and if we do will keep you posted! Or if you want to hold anything we'd also be stoked to lend support however we can. We have some Skateistan volunteers/board members in the NY area who would be keen to join a meetup I think.
