The Sibling Fund fosters meaningful partnerships between like-minded skateboarding initiatives supporting displaced communities, enabling them to learn from and support each other with dedicated seed grants.
The Sibling Fund launched as a pilot in 2024 and is now supporting its 1st full cohort in 2025. We are excited to announce that five Little Sibling partners have now formed partnerships with five Big Sibling partners and have begun their mentorship journeys!
The Sibling Partners were paired based on their location/context, shared language and focus areas. While Big Siblings take on the mentor role, the goal is for both partners to benefit from the relationship through mutual aid and collaborative problem-solving. Especially for new projects or projects working to include displaced youth in their programs for the first time, having one-to-one guidance and regular support can help to overcome hurdles and ensure best practices.
The Partners have now completed their kick-off calls together and they will continue to meet at least once a month for their support calls until the end of the year, addressing a specific topic that they have chosen. Check out the full list of Big and Little Siblings below and make sure to follow them on social media to learn more about their amazing initiatives!
